The council opened a budget amendment hearing at 6:08 p.m. and described revenue and expense adjustments. The revenues section will delete a $260,000 DOT refund from the current fiscal year because the refund was received in the prior year. Revenues were also adjusted for library donations and transfers. Expense-side amendments include a TIF rebatement payment, sewer line-cleaning costs, transfers of funds and a nuisance-abatement expense.
Following the hearing, council approved Resolution #2026-05R to amend the current budget and directed the clerk to file it with the Department of Management; the vote was unanimous (Wambold, Pease, Johnson, Trepp, Bueghly). Council also approved Resolution #2026-06R to transfer funds for upcoming obligations and Resolution #2026-07R to set the time and place for a hearing on proposed parking ordinance amendments (Chapter 69.11 and 70.03); both passed on recorded roll-call votes in favor by all five councilmembers.
