Mayor Eiffler names boards, committees; council approves appointments

Mayor Jamie Eiffler presented a slate of appointments at the Jan. 5 meeting and council approved them by motion and vote. Appointments included Dale Wambold as Mayor Pro-Tem; Julie Wilkerson as City Administrator; The Grundy Register as the city newspaper; Abby Wessel (Rickert Wessel & Allen) as City Attorney; Lincoln Savings Bank as city bank with specified signatories; and several board appointments including Memorial Building Board and Park Board members (Andrea Devore, Janell Boldt, Chris Heasley and Hunter Lott).
Councilmember Bueghly moved to approve the mayor's appointments; Trepp seconded; the motion carried with five ayes. The council also approved committee assignments for councilmembers covering wastewater, water/street, parks/library, fire/EMS, administration/police and finance.
