At the Jan. 5 meeting Councilmember Pease moved to give city employees a 2.8% cost-of-living adjustment for FY2027 and to have the council develop a merit-based pay plan for FY2028; Councilmember Wambold seconded and the motion carried on a roll-call vote with all five members voting aye.
The motion was framed as an immediate compensation adjustment (COLA) while tasking council to address merit-based pay for the following budget year. The vote was recorded as Wambold ' aye; Pease ' aye; Johnson ' aye; Trepp ' aye; Bueghly ' aye.
