In a related infrastructure briefing, staff said the Grand Prairie Water Commission’s Deep Tunnel work at Durkin Park is currently out for bid. The GPWC work was described as part of the broader set of projects necessary to bring Lake Michigan water to the GPWC distribution network and was estimated to take three to four years to construct once started.
