Shorewood updates road projects and plans $25M pumping receiving station for Lake Michigan water

Noriel Noriega also described the Lake Michigan water project’s planned pumping receiving station to be built near the new public works building on Mound Road. The minutes state the facility will hold 5 million gallons and estimated the cost at $25 million, with construction to begin in 2026. The 2025 MFT repaving project was listed to include Edgewater North, River Oaks and the Kipling Town section, and staff reminded residents that leaf pickup is scheduled Oct. 14 through Dec. 1 or until the first snowfall.
