Shirland School Board approves 2024 tax levy

The Shirland School District No. 134 Board of Education approved the district’s 2024 tax levy at its Dec. 18, 2024, meeting. Mr. Bartlett moved to approve the levy and Mr. Hall seconded; the motion passed on a roll call vote with all ayes.
The vote followed a review of the district’s fiscal materials during the consent and audit portions of the meeting. The board also received the district’s FY24 audit from Kyle DeMus of Benning Group, LLC earlier in the agenda, and trustees recorded routine financial items (treasurer reports, accounts payable, payroll vouchers) as part of the consent agenda.
