Council approved a proposal from KLH for a professional Sanitary Sewer Rate Study with a cost not to exceed $5,000. The study will analyze what sewage rates should be given current system issues and the results of line condition ratings; the motion passed with four yes votes, no nays, and three absences (motion by Dave Kowalski; second by Meghan DeVerse).
The study is intended to inform rate-setting and budgeting decisions after staff and engineers review the condition of lines and projected needs. The motion as recorded in the minutes states: "Motion made by Kowalski second by DeVerse to approve the Sanitary Sewer Rate Study provided by KLH not to exceed $5,000.00."
