The Historic Preservation Advisory Board voted to approve a Level 1 historic marker tax-exemption for 1306 North Waddell Street after staff summarized the work completed and eligibility criteria.
Reina Allen told members the property met Level 1 requirements: it has a historic marker and the owners demonstrated minimum rehabilitation investment. Allen said the staff report shows invoices and eligible work, and that “the staff report and application show the detailed invoices of the full scope of work” and that the eligible work “totaled over $180,321 for eligible, improvements.”
Board Member Hammitt moved to approve the Level 1 exemption; Board Member Kennedy seconded and the board voted unanimously. Staff will coordinate with Finance to process the tax-exemption paperwork and verify eligible work documentation.
