Panel approves 544.4-square-foot dedication for 3rd Street roundabout; parking loss minimal

The committee approved a public dedication of 544.4 square feet from Parcel 34-08158 to accommodate a roundabout at 3rd and Jackson. Staff member Kyle explained the dedication affects a city-owned parking lot behind the Whiskey Rapids Saloon and said the change is intended to meet vision-triangle requirements.
Kyle advised that “we need to dedicate about 544 square feet of that parcel, for that roundabout,” and estimated that about three parking stalls on the corner would be removed but that the lines and broader parking layout would not need to be redone. The dedication motion passed 3-0.
