Commission approves townhome rezoning at 1001 North Kentucky Street, forwards to City Council

Carol Robinson said the request would change the property from BN (Neighborhood Business) to TR 1.8 (Townhome Residential). Robinson noted the Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended approval at its May 12 meeting with a 7-0 vote and that this hearing was before the commission to correct an addressing error on the May 12 agenda; staff again recommended approval.
Collins Areyakpo, representing the applicant, told the commission he was in agreement with staff and "respectfully request[ed] approval of this item." The commission closed the public hearing, approved the rezoning unanimously, and the item will be forwarded to City Council for final action on June 2, 2026.
