Wabasso board awards 2024–25 snow-removal contracts to Baune companies

The School Board of Independent School District #0640 voted unanimously on Oct. 28 to award snow-removal services for the 2024–25 season to two local Baune family businesses. B & L Lawn and Snow (Brian and Linda Baune) will service the large student parking lot, bus garage and north service road at specified per-push rates; Baune Services and Lawn Care (Kevin and Cindy Baune) will handle sidewalks and areas around the original building, Activity Center and Early Childhood Learning Center under a contract that includes a $10,600 charge for December through March.
Board members moved and seconded the motion at the meeting; the motion carried unanimously. The awards list per-push hourly rates for November and April as pay-per-trip charges and a fixed monthly contract for the core winter months. The contracts were presented and approved as a single board action.
