Commission re-elects Andy Noffsiger Meadows as chair; Dr. Sharon Kyoko elected vice chair

The Citizen Commission for Performance Measurement of Tax Preferences re-elected Andy Noffsiger Meadows as chair and elected Dr. Sharon Kyoko as vice chair during its Aug. 4 meeting, using voice votes after a single nomination in each race.
Pete Van Moorsel, the commission's tax-review coordinator, led the nominations and voting. The commission then moved to approve minutes from the May 6, 2026 meeting; a voice vote carried the minutes but two commissioners said they would abstain because they had not attended that earlier meeting. The chair confirmed the slate of officers and thanked members for their service and participation.
The commission will continue its regular schedule with a September meeting dedicated to public testimony and an October meeting to adopt formal comments on JLARC's preliminary reports.
