Assistant Planning Director Matthew Culbreath presented proposed text amendments (A-26-1) intended to bring Dinwiddie County’s zoning ordinance into compliance with House Bill 711 on local regulation of solar facilities. Staff recommended approval; Culbreath explained the amendments were developed in response to the state law changes and provided the draft language for commissioner review.
Commissioners asked no substantive questions and the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval to the Board of Supervisors. The recommendation transmittal will include the draft ordinance language and staff memo explaining how the amendments implement the state statute.
