District facilities staff gave a monthly construction update that highlighted projects at Eastmark High School and Chrisman High School. Amber Bridal said the district completed the last remaining parking lot at Eastmark and has finished much of the locker-room PE academic-space work, which has passed health inspection and is being cleaned for turnover.
"We were excited to be able to add the last remaining parking lot to this campus," Bridal said of Eastmark, and she noted the project was funded through School's Facility Division allocations. At Chrisman High School Bridal reported the main student lot was paved, providing approximately 600 spaces to replace a gravel lot, and that remaining parking work should finish by the end of August.
Bridal described ongoing field remediation at Chrisman including drain work, aeration and resodding; she said the field is anticipated to be completed by Friday and on track to be turned over by Aug. 24 ahead of the first home football game. She also noted the district expanded bleachers on the multipurpose field, doubling capacity on the home side to support athletics.
