Commission approves closing conditions for 0 Surfside single-family project after peer-review suggestions

Andrew Oram (Merrill Engineers) presented for Steven and Rita Pace on the continued application for 0 Surfside Road and said the team had not changed the project but had addressed prior questions about resource lines and special conditions. He said the commission's prior questions were largely resolved and the applicant expects to add fact findings and special conditions requested by peer review.
"My name is Andrew Oram. I'm here on behalf of Steven and Rita Pace for their project at 0 Surfside Road for a new single family home," the presenter said. Commissioners noted previously raised items — resource-line delineation, a prohibition on enclosures under the house (no storage, no concrete or pavers), and additional erosion-control measures along the pond side — and recommended those special conditions be added to the order. The applicant agreed to incorporate Lucas Environmental's suggestions and to provide additional landscape detail from the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension native-plant list.
After questions and the applicant's willingness to add conditions and clarifying detail, Penny moved to close the initial hearing for 0 Surfside and document the agreed special conditions in the order; the motion passed.
