Deputy County Administrator Mandy Belyea reviewed the county's approved budget and the projected timeline for FY2027, saying, "Ms. Belyea reviewed the current approved budget and overall process, then explained the current projected timeline." The presentation noted that July 1 starts FY2027 and finance staff will close out the previous fiscal year.
Belyea and finance staff said audits are expected to occur from August through November and that the department will prepare a Comprehensive Financial Report after the audits. Chairman Tim Taylor and others emphasized the need to balance short-term tax pressures with long-term commitments as projects arrive over the next five years.
