The Butte-Silver Bow Study Commission approved its final report at its June 29, 2026 meeting, voting seven in favor and two opposed. Votes in favor were recorded from Brandl, Dennehy, McCormick, Casey, Shaw, Silk and Stepan; Perdue-Dolan and Thielen voted no.
The commission also directed that a summary of the final report be published as a one-quarter-page advertisement in the Montana Standard twice over a two-week period and that the ad run within 30 days of the report's approval. The order to publish the summary was recorded as part of the Final Report approval action.
No public comments were recorded on the item. The approval concludes the Study Commission's formal consideration of the report; commissioners announced a recess for July and scheduled their next weekly meeting for August 3, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
