Carla Estazio and Jessica Shaver raised concerns about the effect of reducing non-mandated TAs, especially in kindergarten classrooms where enrollment matters for support. A parent asked whether the district—s reported commitment to "maintain class sizes" is meaningful without published class-size caps; the district responded that Glen Cove has no formal class-size caps and that mandated TAs and IEP-related supports will be preserved. The superintendent and staff offered to follow up with written responses and individual phone calls, and said they would provide more complete public answers in future meetings.
