The Village of Green Island Board of Trustees completed a series of routine but necessary actions during its meeting, approving minutes, paying claims, accepting departmental reports and certifying unpaid taxes for county collection.
Specifically, trustees approved the minutes of the Dec. 16 regular meeting and the Jan. 6 organizational meeting (with minor name corrections), accepted the police activity and fire department reports, authorized payment of the bills, accepted the treasurer's monthly report (no water-billing adjustments), accepted the parking violations bureau report and the annual report of the fire and building inspector, and accepted the Section 8 administrator's annual report. They also certified the list of unpaid village taxes for 2024 so those amounts will be placed on the 2025 Albany County tax bill.
All of the listed items were approved by motion and voice vote. Where trustees asked questions, staff clarified that citizen complaints recorded in the building inspector's report generally represent code-violation complaints rather than complaints targeting village staff.
