Trustees voted to authorize the mayor to enter into an agreement with Hazen & Sawyer for engineering and grant-writing services connected to planned upgrades at the village water treatment plant.
Phil Magg told the board the village has selected Hazen & Sawyer and that the agreement requires some final tweaks but is expected to be in place before an upcoming deadline. "So we are getting closer to having an agreement," Magg said, adding the village's first deadline is Feb. 12. The board authorized entering the contract, contingent on final review and approval.
The authorization was framed as time-sensitive to meet grant and project scheduling; staff committed to sharing the final agreement with trustees once it is executed.
