City manager Spence presented a request to replace an aging police patrol vehicle (a 2018 Ford Explorer with over 108,000 miles) with a Dodge Durango configured for patrol duties. Spence said the vehicle plus lights, radio and other equipment would total roughly $69,527.15; councilors noted the procurement had been included in the FY25/26 budget.
Councilor Adams moved approval and provided a cost breakdown in the motion: $44,627.70 for the vehicle and $24,899.45 for associated emergency equipment, totaling $69,527.15. The motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
