Committee approves three 2026 engravings, holds one for mock-up review

The Uniontown Maritime Memorial Committee voted on Aug. 18 to approve three engraving submissions received for installation in 2026 and to hold one application pending a clearer mock-up. Jonah, who presented the applications, said the committee had "We've had 4 applications, since we closed the the engravings for the previous year for, 2025. So these will all be going in 2026." The approved items included a standard graphic and inscription for Mike Cagwin and a text-only inscription for Bob Bridal; a custom halibut graphic was listed as pending receipt of a final mock-up from the vendor.

Chair Caroline Webin moved to approve the three entries with complete mock-ups and to delay the Jeff Stone (Columbia River Bar pilot) inscription until the committee could review spacing and wording in a vendor mock-up; the motion carried.
