Mayor and council promote Mount Sai festival, community coffee and human-services grant deadline

The mayor used the announcements portion of the meeting to remind residents that the Mount Sai festival runs Aug. 7–9 and that a grand parade on North Bend Way is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The mayor also invited local residents and business owners to a free coffee and conversation with the mayor and Chief Hall at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Snow Valley Chamber offices and thanked the Chamber for sponsoring the event.
City staff announced the Human and Community Services grant application window is open; the mayor said the application deadline is Monday, Sept. 14 and directed residents to the city website’s news section for details. The mayor closed the meeting after a motion to adjourn; council members concluded with reminders to be safe during the smoke and to enjoy community events responsibly.
