Clark awards Capitol Road improvements to DLS Contracting for $500,435

The mayor also summarized grant requests on the consent agenda: a Union County Kids' Recreation Trust Fund application to renovate Little League restrooms (total project $56,900; request $28,004.50) and a Union County tree program application to plant 20 maple trees (total cost $6,500; request $3,002.50). The council approved the resolutions as routine items.
The mayor also noted issuance of an RFP for special legal counsel related to an existing matter involving the state; responses will be opened Aug. 11, 2026. The council adopted the consent agenda and moved forward with the contract award in that context.
