Spence also called out the Riverwalk lighting project as a $600,000 investment, noting a state grant covered about 71% of the cost, and said the city’s aquatic center generates about "58,000 visits a year," emphasizing the facility’s community importance. He noted the Pipeline Road Waterline Resilience Project has replaced roughly a mile of transmission line and is nearly finished.
Spence framed the accomplishments as examples of the staff’s work to maintain backbone infrastructure and said the city hired 41 new employees during the first six months to fill critical vacancies. The presentation included several budget and program statistics intended to show operational progress and the scale of current public‑works efforts.
