The Manistee County Board of Commissioners on April 14 approved ballot language for three proposed county millages: a transportation millage, a Council on Aging millage, and a library millage. Each ballot language motion was presented through Ways & Means and approved by recorded vote (YEAS: six; ABSENT: Janice McCraner).
Eric Gustad presented the Ways & Means minutes and moved to approve the transportation millage ballot language (seconded by Richard Schmidt); that motion carried. Similar motions to approve ballot language for the Manistee County Council on Aging millage and the Manistee County Library millage were moved and passed in separate votes. The minutes record the board approved Forms and language as presented; no dollar amounts for the millages are specified in the minutes.
The board handled the three millage items through its Ways & Means process; each motion passed with the same recorded vote pattern.
