Superintendent (S3) presented a nonaction report on the district's plan for expenditures of federal funds. They said Title I funds support services for disadvantaged students and that after transfers the Title I project is "about $28,000," with the district able to transfer allocations among Title I, II and IV to support staffing and programs.
The superintendent listed Title II at $2,500 for educator effectiveness (professional development), Title IV at $600 for well-rounded-education supports and $894 for early-childhood speech-therapy weeks. They explained that participation in the federal free-meal provision (Provision 2) complicates accurate counts of disadvantaged students and therefore affects Title I allocations.
