The Manistee Blacker Airport Authority approved a website design and build proposal from MS Creative on April 20 and then participated in a marketing workshop led by MS Creative representatives Mark and Karen Sandstedt.
The MS Creative proposal lists a website design and build fee of $3,000 and annual hosting of $350; the board approved that proposal on a motion by George Becker supported by Jeff Dontz, recorded as Yeas: 7, Nays: 0. The presentation and workshop were intended to help the board identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) and to align leadership on using remaining MDOT Air Service Revitalization grant dollars for marketing and air‑service promotion.
Airport staff told the board they will continue to coordinate marketing expenditures with MDOT grant rules and bring specific deliverables and costs back to the authority for sign‑off as the work moves forward.
