Janessa Nedney, Director of Community Collaborative, presented the district’s Community Engagement Initiative, which proposes building district capacity to implement equitable, culturally responsive engagement and forming a CEI district team that includes students, parents, staff and community partners.
Nedney explained the plan would use unrestricted funds ‘‘($70,000 annually)’’ to develop a sustainable community engagement plan with Hill Creek as the school of focus and to participate in Peer Leading & Learning Network (PLLN) meetings. The board thanked Ms. Nedney and asked for future updates as the CEI team forms and begins work.
