Dr. Tim Glover was sworn in to the Santee School District Board of Education’s Seat 5 on Sept. 24, 2024, after the board completed its special meeting at the Douglas E. Giles Educational Resource Center. Superintendent Dr. Kristin Baranski administered the Oath of Office; the minutes record that Dr. Glover thanked the board for the opportunity to serve the district.
The appointment follows Member Ken Fox’s resignation, submitted to the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools on Aug. 1, 2024. At its Aug. 6 meeting the board voted to make a provisional appointment and formed an Ad Hoc Committee to fill Seat 5 under Board Bylaw 9223 — "Filling a Vacancy." The board interviewed candidates on Sept. 10 and selected Dr. Glover to complete the term, which the minutes show expires in December 2026.
President Dustin Burns opened the meeting and invited public comment; the record notes there were no public comments. With the oath administered and no further business, the special meeting was adjourned at 4:11 p.m.
