Resident proposes 'Project 250 Stand' event during Constitution Week to gain attention for Kingman

Joanna Faith Bergaben (who goes by Jane Faith) addressed the council during the call to the public to request city support for "Project 250 Stand," a community patriotic event planned for Constitution Week (Sept. 17–23). She said a July 23 rehearsal at Black Mountain School attracted more than 460 students and staff who formed a 250-shaped formation on the football field for aerial footage, and she asked the city to suggest or provide a wide open space that could host a repeat event during the county fair to draw larger crowds and potential media attention.
Faith said the Daughters of the American Revolution and other volunteers are backing the effort and that school-district coordination has been positive. She asked the city to consider logistics and said staff and the city manager would discuss the idea further; the council thanked her and indicated staff will discuss the request at a later meeting.
