Presenters agreed to analyze train dwell times and signal coordination impacts and to quantify how many seconds or minutes each option would save (or add) for typical trips through downtown.
Public commenters and several commissioners raised concerns about local access loss from elevated ramps and the potential for bottlenecks to shift to neighboring intersections. Presenters said the team will host a virtual open house in August, narrow alternatives, and return mid‑September with a recommended preferred alternative and joint Planning Commission–City Council discussion.
