Treasurer and Land Bank coordinate transfers; state funding for land bank expected

Land Bank Director Kaleigh Flynn told the committee she expects NYS budget funding to include support for the initiative and that staff continue to review tax-foreclosure properties for transfer.
Flynn said she has worked closely with the Treasurer’s Office to identify properties suitable for land bank acquisition and noted she attended assessors' meetings to support property review work. The transfer authorization was recorded as approved 5-0.
The committee did not authorize specific program funding amounts at this meeting; ongoing coordination with the Treasurer’s Office and follow-up as state budget details are finalized were noted.
