Interim County Administrator Mark Humbert provided a suite of administrative updates at the April 9 Government Operations Committee meeting. He said efforts to open and negotiate county contracts have been progressing and that the Court Security contract has been finalized. On the Butler Prison matter, Humbert said "the sale is essentially complete" and that only a closing date remained to be set. He also reported rehabilitation services at the county nursing home have been brought back under county operation after previously being contracted out.
At 10:14 a.m. Humbert requested an Executive Session to discuss the employment history of a particular person; Supervisor Laura Elsbree moved to enter Executive Session with a second from Supervisor Scott Johnson. The committee returned to Regular Session at 10:49 a.m. and adjourned; the minutes do not record any further public action from the executive session.
