Two representatives from firms that provided communications services to the district addressed the board after staff proposed a new provider. Diane Chang of Lighthouse Group (speaker 14) told trustees the firm had not exceeded its contracted annual amount despite higher operational costs and disputed a staff report’s statement that a new provider would save about $35,000 per year, saying the replacement’s prorated contract was "actually $3,000 higher than our annual contract for the same services."
Theresa Wilson (speaker 13), co‑owner of Lighthouse Blue, described a 12‑year relationship with the district and said the firms had advanced work at the superintendent’s direction while awaiting formal board approval of amended plans. She asked the board to note the firms’ transparency and requested the record reflect the additional work done and the options their firms had proposed for handling overage hours.
