Weed-sprayer failure soaked a county truck with herbicide; staff protected by PPE

The airport director (S3) described a weed-sprayer incident in which the handle popped off and a hose released herbicide inside a county truck. The director said the staff member known as "JP" was wearing PPE and avoided facial exposure. "Luckily, JP was wearing PPE, so he didn't get hit right in the face with it," the director said.
Staff said they contacted county weed-control personnel to review equipment and recommend a safer quick-connect or procedure; they are cleaning the truck, may replace cloth seats because the herbicide soaked into the fabric, and will limit use of that vehicle for spraying until they have a safe remedy. The board was notified that staff will pursue training and testing to avoid a repeat.
