District staff said the immediate plan includes an additional food pickup the Friday before break and the Monday of break at a central location in Bishop, and that the nutrition team will prepare boxes intended to feed families for nine days starting Friday, November 21. Nutrition staff (speaker 6) said, "This is an additional food pickup the Friday before break and the Monday of break." The board and staff also described flyers with QR codes, a district resource list, and front-office and social-worker referrals so families not on the initial survey list can request help. 2nd Harvest has offered to expand weekly distributions through the holidays, and staff said the district will accommodate additional weekly pickups if the partner can staff volunteers.
