Nicholas Pevilacqua, owner of Ice Swim Academy, outlined the organization's decade of local programming and said he would continue to provide free and subsidized lessons to families in need. "I will teach your kid to swim for free if you can't afford it," he said during public comment. Commissioners asked for contractual protections that preserve reserved weekday morning time for community groups; the vendor said he would work with the city on scheduling and sign an addendum if needed.
The motion to award the agreement carried on a roll call vote.
