Runway 16/34 rehabilitation under way; low bidder named at $3.15 million

The Airport Board was briefed on the status of the Runway 16/34 maintenance project during the engineer's report.
Engineer Tim Wick of Morrison and Maierle told the board that "Powder River Construction, Inc., low bidder - $ 3,147,095.00," and that concrete placement and spall repair work are complete. He said joint-seal replacement was about 80% complete, shoulder grading and runway grooving have been finished, and permanent runway markings were projected around June 16 after the shutdown period that began April 6.
Wick also said the project is funded through an FAA AIP grant with WYDOT participation (95% FAA, 2.5% state, 2.5% PFCs). Board members received the schedule update and acknowledged ongoing coordination with the contractor as work phases conclude.
