At the start of the meeting staff (S1) summarized four fee changes for the upcoming year, including raising the instrument rental fee from $1.10 to $1.20 to cover repair costs and increasing student athletic admission from $5 to $6.
"We did have 4 changes, primarily, the instrument rental fee, 1 from $1.10 to $1.20," Staff member (S1) said. On admission fees S1 noted student tickets would be $6. Board members asked whether USD employees, seniors and military receive free admission and asked staff to make exemptions explicit on the fee spreadsheet by showing a numerical '0' instead of a dash to avoid confusion.
Members discussed using staff IDs to verify free admission and the importance of supporting senior attendance at arts events. No formal vote occurred; the fee changes were presented for inclusion in the consent agenda.
