Airport Manager Monte Belgarde reported the airport team is conducting benchmarks required for a GPS approach and is establishing targets for an aerial survey of the property. The work is preparatory: staff indicated that once benchmarks and targets are set, the aerial survey will proceed to support future navigation upgrades.
Consultant Mathew Wilder told the board that when the aerial survey is conducted, "all basic maintenance on the property of the airport will need to be current and complete." Board members discussed timing and noted that pavement maintenance is scheduled for 2029, which bears on readiness for survey and certain airfield projects listed in the CIP.
