IDA accepts Shawn E. Ward's resignation

The Green Island Industrial Development Agency on Monday accepted the resignation of Shawn E. Ward, effective Nov. 15, 2024. A resignation letter read into the record thanked colleagues and said Ward would relocate out of state.
"I'm thankful for being a part of the great team that I have had the pleasure to work with since I started with this agency back in 1999," Ward wrote in the letter. Board members moved and seconded a motion to accept the resignation; the chair called the question and the motion carried.
The agency did not record any conditions attached to the resignation or name a successor during the meeting. The board proceeded to regular business after approving the resignation.
