Tourism director outlines new publications, Apple Tasting Tour app, press visit and sponsor change for TrailWorks

Christine Worth, Director of Tourism, told the committee on April 8 that she attended the New England Saltwater Fishing Show where a new tourism publication was introduced, and she shared copies with the committee. She said the Apple Tasting Tour has launched a new website and mobile app and that a press tour of five journalists focusing on food, beverage and cultural attractions is scheduled for May 13, with Wayne County hosting.
Worth reported that the Seneca Chief will return June 18–20 and a ribbon-cutting for the Lyons Monument "True Valor at Gettysburg" is planned for August. She also said Wegmans will no longer serve as a sponsor for the TrailWorks app; staff are scheduled to meet this month to review content, discuss goals and develop a path forward for app support and operation.
