Board notes summer facilities work: HVAC, LED upgrades, fence replacement and tech updates

President Greg Pritchard outlined summer projects funded from reserves, including an HVAC replacement and glycol flush at the middle school, LED lighting upgrades at the high school, technology infrastructure work and a replaced elementary school fence; the glycol flush is expected to finish by October.
During committee updates, President Greg Pritchard reviewed several summer facilities projects funded from reserve funds that were carry‑overs from FY25.
"These projects included: the replacement of the HVAC system and the glycol flush at the middle school; the flush will be concluded by October. The LED replacement at the high school is almost complete; they are just finishing up the online access portal. The technology infrastructure including the phones, servers and switches is just about completed, we are just needing the printers to be updated. The fence at the elementary school was replaced," Pritchard said.
The board noted the work was intended to ready facilities for the school year; buildings, grounds and transportation committee will next meet Sept. 3 to review ongoing maintenance and projects.
