Workshop: Developer outlines INDOT‑negotiated access changes for proposed US‑231 office site

At a workshop presentation the Plan Commission reviewed a conceptual plan for a proposed 7,500‑square‑foot, three‑unit professional office building at 106 US 231 (Petition PC 26‑26). James Hus of DVG Team, Inc. said he worked with INDOT to redesign the site access so it can be widened and include turn‑lane striping and vehicle queuing. Hus told commissioners that "the left‑hand turn lane will be installed on US 231 to allow Eastbound motorist to turn North into the development."
President John Marshall noted the commission will require shared parking access when the formal site development plan is submitted. Hus said shared access will be provided but that shared utilities will not. The presentation was recorded as a workshop only; no formal action was taken and the project will return during site development review.
