Plan Commission approves Secondary Plat for Point 65 Business Park lot

The Crown Point Plan Commission unanimously approved Secondary Plat Petition PC 26‑23 on May 26, 2026, allowing four existing parcels east of Mississippi Parkway to be combined into a single 28.68‑acre lot in Phase 2 of the Point 65 Business Park. Greg Lorig of DVG Team, Inc. explained the consolidation is intended "to allow an industrial user to develop the property," and Planning Administrator Josh Watson recommended approval, stating that the proposal "meets the subdivision requirements as listed in the Code of Ordinances Title 15, Sections 151.01 to 151.99."
Commissioners asked technical questions about existing stormwater ponds and possible improvements; Lorig said both consolidation or improving the ponds "are possible, and that will be determined during the Site Development process." The motion to approve (moved by Dan Rohaley, seconded by Joe Sanders) passed on a roll call vote with all present voting yes.
