Commission records hiring at Nevada Recycling Center; approves county employee's holiday-time extension

On a separate personnel motion, Commissioner Cindy Thompson moved to approve a request by Summer Smith to take her holiday time for Oct. 13 and Nov. 11 after Christmas and before Jan. 1, 2026, with the requirement that the time be used by Dec. 31, 2025. Commissioner John Shorten seconded the motion and all commissioners voted yes to approve the request.
