IT director Matthew McGregor described three requested purchases: an enterprise campus aggregation switch to better integrate county systems, Fargo software for employee badge creation and an office chair for staff. "With the purchase of this switch that it will allow for him to run everything in tandem," McGregor said, describing the integration benefit.
Commissioner Ben Crouch moved to approve expenditures not to exceed $5,400 for the items; Commissioner Charles Howell seconded and the motion passed unanimously. McGregor also summarized takeaways from a recent IT leadership conference, including ADA website compliance, next-generation 911 preparations and the value of off-site backups and network-security tooling.
