District technology staff outline Chromebook refresh and report strong security-training metrics

Lincoln Henson, a district technology staff member, briefed the Finance Committee on a technology security overview, annual operating costs by function and planned large project purchases for FY24–FY29. The plan presented calls for cascading devices: 8th-grade Chromebooks will be moved down to kindergarten as part of the refresh. The committee was also shown KnowBe4 security-training statistics; the minutes state the district is "beating the industry standard" on that measure.
