Elementary restrooms replaced; grounds seeding and seal-coating bids discussed
Summary
District staff reported completion of elementary toilet replacements, ongoing hallway and door installations, aeration and seeding of grounds with temporary netting, and efforts to obtain seal-coating bids for parking and paving.
Staff told the board that all elementary toilets had been replaced and that crews had to shut off water briefly because of older galvanized plumbing encountered during the work. Staff said hallway door and ceiling work was underway and expected to be finished soon. "They replaced all the toilets on the end where the kids are," a staff member reported.
Grounds crew aerated and seeded select areas and placed orange netting to protect seeded zones over the summer. Staff also said they had not received a follow-up bid from a vendor named Warkus for seal-coating and were soliciting additional estimates, with a goal to have bids and payments processed after July 4 if necessary.
